University of Jammu, established in 1969, is located at Jammu Tawi in
Jammu District. It has two campuses, the new campus is located at Bahu Wali Rakh and another small old campus is located at Canal Road.
The university has 33 teaching departments offering master's degree, M Phil, Ph D and D Lit in different disciplines and some diploma courses. Distance education in postgraduate and undergraduate levels are also offered.
