Established in May 1977 as per the guidelines of the
University Grants Commission, the University Service and Instrumentation Center’s principal purpose is to provide adequate repairs, maintenance and service to sophisticated instruments in various science departments of the University and affiliated colleges, to offer centralized facilities of analytical instruments, to conduct training courses in instrumentation and to reform research and development in instrumentation. It also offers post ITI (Industrial Training Institute) apprenticeship training.
