Uma Devi Temple

Uma Devi Temple is a highly revered shrine dedicated to Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva. The temple is situated at the confluence of the Pindari Glacier and Alaknanda River in the town of Karnaprayag, in Uttaranchal. Uma Devi Temple is just 11 km from Gaucher.

The Maha Mrityunjay Parvat lies in close proximity. This Shiva Temple was rebuilt by Adi Shankaracharya, after its destruction in an earthquake. Large numbers of people visit the temple during Shivratri as it is considered, next to Kedarnath, in sanctity.
