Ujjeleswar




Ujjaleswar is situated about 19 km from Digapahandi and 45 km from Berhampur, in Ganjam District, of Orissa. It is a famous pilgrim center and a picnic spot located near the Ghodahada Dam.

Ujjeleswar is also famous for the shrine of Ujjeleswar which has been developed from a cave temple. Situated on a hillock the temple is approachable by steps. The huge stone shadowing the deity forms the back side of the temple. The Ghodahada reservoir and a deer park in the vicinity are other major attractions.

Ujjaleswar is easily approachable by bike or jeep. Berhampur Railway Station is the nearest railhead (45 km).
