Turtle Wildlife Sanctuary




Turtle Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1989, is located in Varanasi District of Uttar Pradesh and extends from Mabriya Bridge in Varanasi up to Ramnagar. It lies about 7 km from midstream of the Ganges River.

The sanctuary is home to turtles of various types, Ganga dolphin, and other aquatic creatures and birds.

The best time to visit is mid-October to mid-June.
