Turkish Sultana Palace

Turkish Sultana Palace is an imposing structure located to the south-east of Pachisi Court in Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh. Fatehpur Sikri is about 40 km from Agra.

This house is believed to have been built during the Mughal period (1526-1858). It was constructed for Akbar's first wife, Sultana Ruqayya Begum, who was a Turk.

The palace is also known as Anup Talao Pavilion. It is a single storied apartment, internally measuring 4 m by 2 m enclosed within columned verandahs. All its walls and the pillars are adorned with beautiful Kashmiri-style wood carvings.
