Tumburu Teerth

Tumburu Teerth is about 16 km north of the Shri Venkateswara Temple, in Tirupati. The teerth got its name from a divine musician saint Tumbura, who lived here. The famous Telugu saint-poetess Tarikonda Venkamamba stayed here during the later stages of her life in the early 19th century as a tapasvini.

It is believed that a bath in this teerth on pournami (full moon) day in the solar month of Meenam (March-April) will release the bathers from rebirth.

Tirupati Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
