Tu Hali is an agricultural dance performed in the rural areas of
Meghalaya. It is a reenactment of the common activities going on in a rice field. The women recreate the scenes involved in the irrigation work. They perform a mock construction and renovation of the bunds. The men plough the land, enacting their work in the fields.
