Trikarpur is a small village situated far north of Kerala state and to the south of Kasargod district. It is an ideal place for tourists with its divine serenity, lush greenery, murmuring rivers and brooks. North and South Trikarpur villages are the two main divisions of this village.

Numerous religious centers such as Beerichery Juma Masjid, Valvakkad Juma Masjid, Town Juma Masjid, Shri Chakrapani temple, Uthamanthil Kshetra Palaka Kshetram, and Ramavilyam Kazhakam are part of the village.

Trikarpur Railway Station, on the Kozhikode-Mangalore line, is the nearest railhead. Mangalore Airport is 120 km away from Payyanur. National Highway 17 passes through Payyanur.
