Trikala Gnaneshwar Temple




Trikala Gnaneshwar Temple, also called Mukkala Gnanesham, is a small temple near the Kanchipuram Bus Terminus. The principal deity of the temple is Trikala Gnaneshwar. There is an idol of Lord Shiva, installed by a group of sages who wanted to gain spiritual knowledge of the past, present and future. The holy verses of the 'Kandha ShashtiKavacham' are depicted on the temple wall. The nine holy planets and Lord Sandeshwarar are worshipped there. The sanctum-sanctorum houses an idol of Lord Shiva. A sacred pipal tree stands in the temple courtyard.

The nearest airport is the Chennai International Airport and the Arakkonam Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
