Tranda




Tranda is a picturesque hamlet situated about eight km from Chaurah in Shimla District, Himachal Pradesh. The village falls on the Shibaling Pass trek route in Baspa Valley. Beautiful architectural houses can be seen in the village. Sutlej River, one of the major tributaries of the Indus River, flows through Tranda. The entire region offers majestic views of snow-clad peaks and wooded slopes. Wangtoo, Mupa, Sangla Kanda, Charang, Chitkul, Nigul, Karchham and Nichar are nearby tourist destinations. Tranda is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Accommodation facilities are available at the Forest Rest House. The nearest railway station and airport are at Shimla. Tranda can be accessed from Sangla and Shimla.
