Tozhuppedu of Kanchipuram District is located on the National Highway 45 between Tindivanam and Madurantakam. This village, in the southern region of the district, is about 7 km from Ongur and 3 km from Acharapakkam.

Adi Parasakthi Temple at Melmaruvathur is a popular pilgrim spot on the way to Madurantakam from Tozhuppedu. Perumberkkandikai Temple is nearby.

Tozhuppedu Railway Station falls on the Viluppuram-Chengalpattu rail route. Chennai International Airport is the nearest airport.
