Tomb of Sadiq Khan

Tomb of Sadiq Khan Mir-Bakhshi is a graceful building, situated on the by-pass road near the tomb of his son Salabat Khan, in Agra. It is a brick and stone masonry structure built during 1633-1635 by Salabat Khan.

This octagonal-shaped tomb stands on a high square platform, and is covered by a double dome, crowned by an inverted lotus (padmakosha) and a slender Kalash finial. There are eight portals leading to the octagonal hall, a narrow whispering gallery (above the portals) and an underground chamber. The chamber is viewed through a large hole in the center of the floor.
