Tomb of Muhammed Quli Khan




The octagonal tomb of Muhammed Quli Khan, one of Akbar’s courtiers, lies about 150 m southeast of the Qutab Minar. It was constructed in the early 17th century.

During the British occupation, Sir Thomas Metcalfe, the British Resident used to stay here during rains. Its first floor was changed into la iving apartment and the hall under the dome was converted to da ining room. Now it is in a ruined state.
