Cuddalore District. The temple deity is
Lord Shiva known by the name Pasupatinathar. The Goddess Kampanadiyammai is also worshiped along with him. The Stala vriksham (tree) is Konri and the
teertham is Putkarini. It is said that saints
Sambandar and Appar have sung here.
