Tiruchuli, one of the 14 Shaiva centres in
, is a small town situated on the banks of the
. The sacred
makes this little known place popular. This enormous temple complex was constructed during the reign of Muthuramalinga Setupati. The presiding deity of the temple is known by the name Bhuminathar and the goddess is Thunaimalai Amman. Tiruchuli is located 40 km east of
town and about 45 km south of
Virudhunagar Junction Railway Station
are the major access points. Tiruchuli is also well connected by road.
