Tiprabamak is a six kilometer-long glacier of Hemganga (also known as Lakshman Ganga River
) basin, situated in the Alaknanda
catchments. It is the longest glacier in the basin. The melted water of the glacier emerges from a single ice cave at the snout of Tiprabamak. Ghangharia
is the only place in the vicinity providing accommodation facilities. The best time to visit the glacier is from mid-June to mid-October.
