Tinnakara Island

Tinnakara Island, a perfect location for a day's outing, is one of the uninhabited islands of Lakshadweep. It shares the same lagoon enclosed by coral reef, with the Parali Islands.

Tinnakara has a tropical climate, comparing to other islands. It is rich in coconut trees, banana, drumstick, bread fruit and wild almond. The island is also abundant with marine life. Tinnakara Hill, a well known diving site, is a prime attraction.

The island can be easily accessed by sailing, rowing, kayaking and wind-surfing from the Bangaram Island, an uninhabited island situated in the same atoll, which offers an excursion option to the Tinnakara.
