Tindharia

Tindharia is a charming spot one would come across while embarking on a toy train ride from New Jalpaiguri to the Darjeeling hills. It is located at an altitude of 2822 ft above sea level, at a distance of 30 km from Siliguri, in Darjeeling District. Tindharia is the fourth station on the route.

Usually the train stops here for a coffee break. From Tindharia, one could catch the panoramic view of the hills and the valleys below. The amazing Giddapahar (Eagle's Craig) is quite near and can be viewed from close quarters as the train leaves for Gayabari.

The Darjeeling Himalayan Railways has their workshop based at Tindharia.

Siliguri Junction Railway Station offers connections to New Delhi and Kolkata. Civil Enclave Bagdogra (Bagdogra Airport) is the nearest airstrip.
