Tilhar




Tilhar is a historic town situated on National Highway 24 in Shahjahanpur District and is 30 km north-west of Shahjahanpur town.

This settlement founded by the Rajput - Tirlok Chandra is the oldest town in the district. Tilhar is about 35 km south-east of Faridpur. The fort built by Mangal Khan in the village Mansurper, near Tilhar, is worth a visit. Dataganj and Nigohi are the nearby towns.

Nearest airport is at Lucknow. Tilhar Railway Station is on the Shahjahanpur - Bareilly rail line of North Eastern Railways.
