Tiger Hill




Tiger Hill is the highest point in Ghoom, situated at an altitude of about 2590 m above sea level. It is 11 km from Darjeeling, in West Bengal. Tiger Hill offers magnificent dawn views over Mt Kanchanjunga and other eastern Himalayan peaks. The hill is a popular picnic spot for tourists as well as local people.

Situated close to the hill is the Senchal Lake, at an altitude of 8,160 ft, which supplies Darjeeling with its domestic water.

Ghoom Monastery, Observatory Hill, Dhirdham Temple and Bengal Natural History Museum are other major tourist places situated nearby.
