Thrikkanapuram is a small sleepy village located 2 km, south of Kuttipuram Railway station on Kuttipuram - Thrissur highway in Malappuram. This place lies 60 km from Thrissur and 70 km from Calicut. Numerous coconut trees and hillocks dotting its terrain add to the beauty of the place. Bharathapuzha River flows through the side of Thrikkanapuram. MES College of Engineering is situated nearby.

Calicut Airport is the nearest airport. Kuttipuram Railway Station, situated in the town, is well served by major trains.
