Thiruvullakkavu Dharmasastha Temple



Dharmasastha Temple is a highly revered shrine situated in the midst of a dense forest at Thiruvullakkavu, 10 km from Thrissur, on the way to Irinjalakuda. This temple enshrines Lord Ayyappa, also called as Dharmasastha, as the presiding deity.

The main offerings are kadali pazham, trimadhuram, appam and payasam. Navratri and Vishupooram are the major festivals celebrated at the temple.

There are frequent buses plying in the Thrissur-Irinjalakuda route. Thrissur Railway Station and Cochin International Airport are the nearest major access points.
