Thiruvarppu

Thiruvarppu is a scenic village in Kottayam District, Kerala. The village is famous for a temple, Thiruvarppu Sri Krishna Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna. The annual 10 day festival celebrated in this temple attracts thousands of devotees to this place.

Thiruvarppu Boat Club, Kumarakom, Nattakom, Vakathanam, Kanakkari and Parampuzha are the nearest tourist attractions.

Thiruvarppu is about 60 km from Cochin International Airport. Kottayam Railway Station (7 km) and Kottayam Bus Station (6.5 km) are the nearest railhead and bus station respectively.
