The backwater destination of
Thiruvallam is located around 6 km south of
Thiruvananthapuram city, on the Thiruvananthapuram-
Kovalam road. The major attractions are canoe rides, water sports, floating bridge and short village cruises (using the country boats).
Killi and Karamana rivers meet at this place. The ancient Parashuram temple is situated nearby. A memorial of Parashuram built of granite stone is consecrated in the temple. Frequent bus services are available from East Fort, the vibrant place in the heart of the city.
