Thiruputkuzhi Temple




Thiruputkuzhi Temple is situated 7 miles from Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ram. The particular form of Lord Ram in this temple is known as Vijaya Raghava. He is shown holding Jatayu, the mythological eagle, in his hands. His idol is shown in a sitting position facing east. There are separate shrines dedicated to Goddess Maragathavalli Thayaar and Jatayu.
