Thirunelli




Situated in the backdrop of the Brahmagiri hills, Thirunelli is a picturesque place located about 30 km from Mananthavady in Wayanad District. Chattering springs, including the Papanasini, make this an ideal place for nature lovers. Main attraction here is the ancient Vishnu temple. According to myth, Lord Brahma installed the chief idol of this temple. Thousands of tourists visit the valley throughout the year except during heavy monsoons. Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is easily accessible from here.

Thirunelli is about 25 km from the Calicut Airport. The nearest railway station is Kozhikode Railway Station.
