Thirukulambu

Thirukulambu is a sacred spot near Thiruvumplavil Mahadeva Temple. The holy water flowing through the 'Thirukulambu' (holy hoof) is the source of Theerthakkulam, a pond situated north side of the temple. The water is believed to be the divine water from Kashi. A large number of devotees perform ‘pithru tharppan’ at this place during Mahashivaratri and Vavubali.
