Thirukkurangudi lies on the Western Ghats in
Tirunelveli. It is one of the 108 divine Vaishavite shrines. Thirukurangudi Alwar attained nirvana in this place. Among the twelve Alwars of Vaishavism, four Alwars had sung the glory of the Lord at Thirukurangudi and Malai Nambi Koil. The place is of historical importance and can be reached from Tirunelveli by traveling 52 kilometers to the south.
