Thirukkazhundram is a place located 17 km from
Mahabalipuram. The place is famous an ancient
Shiva temple and a hillock located there. The Shiva temple has a tank the water of which has some curative powers. It is believed that two kites rest here during their travel from
Rameshwaram to Banaras.
