Thiruarimeya Vinnagaram temple is situated at Thirunaangur in
Thanjavur District. The deity of this temple is Kuda Maadu Koothan (
Lord Vishnu). The deity is shown in a seated position facing towards the east. The idol of deity is made of baked clay.
Every year during the occasion of Thai Amavasi (New moon day in the Tamil Month of Thai) the deity is taken out in a procession, on the mythological eagle Garuda, to join the grand procession called Garuda sevai (Serving Garuda).
