Thikriwal




Thikriwal is a scenic hamlet in Sangrur District of Punjab, near Barnala. It is a well-known pilgrim center for Sikhs and has been sanctified by the visit of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib in 1670. A Sikh shrine called Gurdwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib has also been built here in memory of his visit. The renowned Akali leaders Shaheed Bhai Sewa Singh Thikrivala and Giani Sher Singh belonged to this village.

Nearest airport is at Ludhiana. Barnala Railway Station situated on Nabha-Bathinda line is the nearest railway station.
