The Yakshi

The Yakshi, the famous art creation of Kanayi Kunhiraman, is an appropriate adornment to the dense natural beauty of the Malampuzha Garden. It is an astounding piece of sculpture made entirely in concrete. This huge sculpture is that of an uninhibitedly and frankly erotic squatting female nude figure.

Mermaid, locally known as 'matsya kanyaka,' at Shanghumughom is also among the famous works of Kanayi Kunhiraman.
