The Residency




The Residency at Lucknow tells the tale of one of the bitter battles in the revolt of 1857. It was the palatial residence of the British Residents to the court of Awadh and stands on a high ground. The rebels took siege of the residence for several months.

Today, it consists of 53 acres of roofless buildings and numerous memorials.
