Tharavadu




Tharavadu, a remarkable feature of the Nair culture, is the largest and oldest joint family house. In this family system, the Karanavar (eldest male in the family) looks after the family. Most of the Tharavadu comes with traditional architect. Many of these houses have more than twenty rooms.
