Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering, popularly known as TKM College of Engineering (TKMCE), is a pioneer in the field of technical education in
Kerala. It was founded in 1958 at
Kilikollur, 6 km away from
Kollam. TKMCE is the first government aided institution in the private sector in the state.
Affiliated to the University of Kerala, the college offers B-Tech degree courses in eight disciplines and three post graduate programs. TKMCE has highly equipped laboratories, workshops and computer facilities. The central library houses a vast collection of technical books and periodicals. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls.
