Teghra

Teghra, also spelled as Teghara, is one of the five Taluks in Begusarai District of Bihar. Begusarai, the district headquarters, is about 9 km south-east and Patna, the state capital, is 85 km west.

This upcoming industrial town is situated along the National Highway 31. The mighty Ganges River flows nearby. Major tourist destinations in the region include Kanwar Lake and Kabar Lake Bird Sanctuary.

Nearest airport is at Patna. Teghra Railway Station is on the Barauni - Bachwara rail route.
