Teesta Valley




Teesta Valley is located in Darjeeling District of West Bengal. The climate is subtropical in the Teesta valley, but it is temperate in the hills. All over the Teesta valley, landslides are common. The Teesta valley recieves intense rainfall. The valley is surrounded by the Sal Lake and rich teak forests. In the Teesta Valley is the border town of Rongpo, which is the entrance to the state of Sikkim. The Sevoke Kali Temple and the Mongpong Forest Rest House are nearby. Towards the south of Hili the valley is wide, but is narrow in the region of Dinajpur. The valley ends in south Naogaon Upazila.
