Tangri River

Tangri River is one of the important tributaries of the Markanda River, which traverses through the Devigarh area in Bhunerheri block of Patiala District. There are a number of villages, hilly areas, and lush green lands situated along the banks of this river. The continuous rains in the catchment areas and the water from Bibipur Lake in Haryana and the Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, cause the river to overflow in some areas.
