Tanginath, a small hamlet in Gumla District of Jharkhand, is famous for its architectural works from ancient to medieval period. Located on a hillock of about 300 ft high, it is near Dumri, which is about 50 km from Gumla.

Tanginath is a place of religious and historical significance. The written codes stating the history of Nagwanshi and Barwe rulers are the specialties. Apart from the stone images of gods and goddesses such as Vishnu and Durga, hundreds of Shivlings, which are believed to be of Buddha age, can also be seen here.

A temple of Lord Shiva, Sun Temple, the great trishool (trident) buried in ground and Surya Kund are the other attractions. The temples and sculptures found here date back to the 7th century.

Tanginath can be reached from Dumri, 8 km away. During Shivratri, bus services are available from Gumla to Tanginath.
