Tamarhat, bordering Dhubri District, is in Kokrajhar District. It is bounded by Bhainskuchi (11 km) in the west, Dingdinga (7 km) in the north and Agamani (13 km) and Basbari (12 km) in the south.
Gossaigaon and Golakganj are easily assecible from here. The river Gadadhar flows near this place. Satrasal (famous for the historic Ramrai Kuti Satra), Kaldoba and Halakura at the Agamani is the nearby prime attraction.
