Tali Basket

Tali is a haversack basket used by the Dafla tribe belonging to Arunachal Pradesh. It is flat in shape containing two shoulder straps. The rainy condition of the region has contributed to the basket’s shape. The flatness prevents the rain water from accumulating on the top. The basket is made rainproof by fitting special fibres called ‘tama’ on its outer surface.
