Talaulim




Talaulim is in the Tiswadi taluk of South Goa District. This Goan village, 10 km away from Panaji, is well endowed with thickly forested hills on one side, and fertile fields and a rivulet on the other. Agriculture and cashew farming are the main occupations. Talaulim is now more famed as Santana.

Prime attraction is the famous Church of St. Ana, built in 1695 and located on the right banks of the Siridao River. It is dedicated to St. Ana, the grandmother of Jesus Christ. Shree Diteshwar Maharudra Prasanna Temple is another sacred spot to visit.

Ideal time to visit here is during the Touxeamchem Fest or Cucumber Feast conducted in the church on 29 July.

The nearest railhead is at Karmali and the nearest airport is Goa Airport.
