Swinging Towers of Farkande

Jhulte Manore

Swinging Towers of Farkande are a pair of 250-year-old towers situated on the banks of Utawadi River in Jalgaon District, Maharashtra.

This 15 m high structure, which displays the adroitness of craft of the yesteryears, is noteworthy for the fact that if one of the towers is shaked, the other also starts waving. It was built by Chand Momin in the 18th century.

It is locally called Jhulte Manore. The charming village of Farkande is 16 km from Erandol.
