Swarghat




Perched at an elevation of 1,200 m, Swarghat is a beautiful hill town in Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh. Set amid pine trees, Swarghat is 42 km away from Bilaspur on National Highway 21A, on the Bilaspur-Chandigarh route. The town was once the summer capital of the rulers of Bilaspur. It is also famous for the Lakshmi Narayan Temple. Naina Devi Temple (29 km away) and Bhakra Nangal Dam (37 km away) are the nearest tourist destinations. Hotel Hill Top, overlooking the plains of Punjab, is one of the best places to stay. The nearest airport, railhead and inter-state bus terminus are all at Chandigarh, 186 km away.
