Surapur is a village in Nawan Shehar District
. It is on the Mukandpur-Faghwara road, about 8 km from Nawan Shehar
and 10 km from Garhshankar
. This village was named after Sura Singh, an old man who founded it around 350 years ago.
Today, Surapur is a developed area. There are two gurdwaras in the village.
