Sunet




Sunet is a historical village in Ludhiana District of Punjab. It is on the Ludhiana-Ferozepur road, close to Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar. Baddowal and Model Gram are other places in the neighborhood.

Archeologically, this area has got great importance. The excavation held here has unearthed a large number of seals and thousands of coin moulds of the Yaudheyas (a tribal republic of Punjab), coins of Hermaeus, Gondopharnes, Chandra Gupta and Samudra Gupta, thus throwing light on the pre-Harappan and late Harappan periods.

The nearest railway station is at Baddowal (3 km). Ludhiana Airport serves this area.
