Sundarapandiyanpattanam is a small village lying on the banks of Varshalei, in Ramanathapuram District. The place derives its name after Sundara Pandiyan, the 13th century Pandiyan ruler of Rameshwaram. Sundarapandiyanpattanam is located near the district’s border with Pudukkottai, about 9 km north of Vattanam.
