Sun Temple at Rahila Sagar

Situated to the west of Rahila Sagar is the 9th century granite temple dedicated to the Sun God. It was built by the powerful Chandela ruler of central India, Rahila, who ruled between AD 890 and 910. Though reduced to a ruined state due to age and neglect, the temple still stands as a finest example of the early Pratihara architecture.
