Sultan Bazaar

Sultan Bazaar, formerly known as the Residency Bazaar, is the busiest commercial center in the city of Hyderabad. It is located between the Residency complex (now the Osmania University College for Women) and the Badi Chowdi.

This bazaar has a 150-year-old turbulent history. It was a bone of contention between the Nizams and the British Residents. The two buildings, famous for Rajasthani style of architecture, still stand out on either side of the Jain Temple.

Everything can be found on this single stretch of road. The best buys include women's wear, slippers and shoes, bangles and other trinkets.
